Goodbye hostmonster, Hello Dreamhost!

Finally, a post after a long time. I’ve had some issues with my previous hosting provider “Hostmonster” and the site was down for quite a while or suffered from performance issues.

Because the gridsystemgenerator generates many files and stores it onto the harddisk, Hostmonster decided to suspend my account. They only allow you to have a few files on your hosting space. They adviced me to change my code so it would virtually stream the files each time a grid is generated (not such a great idea if you think about the volume of grids that get generated every day).

Because of the suspension some of my other sites where offline as well so I decided to give up on Hostmonster and move to Dreamhost.
SO FAR SO GOOD!, there are MANY pro’s at dreamhost and their customer service has been FANTASTIC!

If you are looking for hosting, stay far away from Hostmonster, but go with Dreamhost!
